A house that used to be a pharmacy
The first records of a pharmacy here date back to around 1700, and in 1767 King Frederick II the Great granted a privilege to establish the Town Pharmacy.
The building that is now Villa Stara Apteka was built in 1937 as a modern villa with a garden. After the war, a pharmacy reopened here and ran without interruption until 2010, remaining an important place for local residents for many years.

The building has been connected with our family since 1994 – it was our home before it became a place for guests. Today we still want to keep its original spirit of care and hospitality. Only the prescriptions have changed: instead of medicine, we now prescribe silence, calm and time to unwind.
Our team
Villa Stara Apteka is a family home that we look after together: Ewelina, Zosia and Ewa. We don’t live on site, but we are always close by and make sure every stay is a peaceful one.
Ewelina looks after the everyday rhythm of the house and makes sure everyone feels at ease here. It is also thanks to her passion for interiors and design that the Apteka has its own character and atmosphere.
Zosia organises the stays and is the first person our guests get in touch with. She makes sure everything is ready and taken care of down to the last detail.
Ewa takes care of the house from the inside. She prepares the apartments and looks after the details that let you simply arrive and relax.
When you visit us for the first time, we welcome you in person. We show you around the house, answer your questions and share everything that might come in handy during your stay. We want you to feel at ease from the very first moment – simply at home.
