When looking for a house with a yoga studio for a retreat, workshops or a multi-day development trip, it's easy to start with the number of beds, price and available dates. In practice, it's equally important how the house itself functions: whether the group has it to themselves, whether everyone fits in one room where you can eat together, and whether there's a place to rest after classes.
A good place for workshops with accommodation should above all make organisation easier. So that the instructor doesn't have to deal with logistics every other moment, and participants can settle into the rhythm of the trip and simply be there.

A retreat venue in Poland – why choose an exclusive house
During a group trip, it makes a big difference to be truly at home. No other guests in the hallway, no set-time hotel breakfast, and no need to adjust to the rhythm of the place.
Renting a house exclusively in the mountains allows you to arrange your day as you wish. Morning practice can start early, breakfast can last longer, and an evening meeting doesn't have to end just because the common areas are closing.
At Villa Stara Apteka, the entire house is available to one group. We can accommodate up to 23 people for overnight stays, so there's plenty of space for a group trip, while the whole place remains intimate.
Exclusive use also gives simple freedom. You can linger longer at the table, go out to the garden, make tea late in the evening or find a quiet corner without feeling like someone else's completely different stay is happening next to you.

A house with a yoga studio. What really matters?
The square footage alone doesn't tell you whether the room will work well for a group. What matters is its layout, lighting, flooring and whether everyone has enough space for comfortable practice.
A good yoga workshop venue should also limit the amount of things you need to bring with you.
Villa features approximately 70-square-metre movement space with wooden parquet flooring. The room accommodates around 20 mats and works well for yoga, pilates, meditation, breathwork and other movement activities. It's worth matching the number of participants to the type of practice and the space each person needs.
The venue has mats, blocks, blankets, straps and bolsters. So the organiser doesn't have to transport all the equipment, and participants can arrive with just their personal belongings.
It's also worth looking at the room as part of a larger whole. A multi-day retreat doesn't happen only during classes. What's beyond the studio door is equally important.

A place for workshops with accommodation. Rooms, kitchen and one large table
During a group trip, the house should also work well between each point on the schedule. You need space for a quiet morning, shared meals, conversation after classes and a moment when everyone can go their own way.
Villa Stara Apteka has five apartments spread over three floors. This way participants have their own rooms and a bit of privacy, but during the day they naturally meet in the common areas of the house. Bedrooms and the practice room are in one building, which makes organising the following days easier.
The heart of the common areas is the kitchen and dining room with one large table. It's a place for breakfasts, coffee after practice, shared dinners and conversations that often stay with participants as long as the classes themselves.
The kitchen is equipped for cooking for large groups. You can use it independently or take advantage of contacts with trusted chefs who work with the Pharmacy. The menu can be adjusted with them to the nature of the trip and the needs of participants, including vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free diets.
After practice. Sauna, garden and the rhythm of the Sowie Mountains
Not every moment of the trip needs to be planned. It's good when after classes you can simply leave the room and decide what you feel like doing.
Villa is located in Srebrna Góra in Lower Silesia, at the foot of Srebrna Góra Fortress, close to the trails of the Sowie Mountains. You can take a walk, head to the mountains or stay on site.
Around the house there's a garden with an old orchard. There's space for breakfast outside, a book under a tree, a moment of silence or an evening bonfire.
At the group's disposal is also a year-round outdoor hot tub and sauna. So you don't need to plan additional trips or look for extra attractions outside the house.
Villa also has a separate massage room. You can use the services of a massage therapist we work with or bring your own therapist.
This means that alongside shared practice, there's also space for what happens in between: rest, conversation, a walk or simply nothing.
Summary
When choosing a house with a yoga studio for a retreat or workshops, it's worth looking beyond just the number of beds and the size of the room.
It matters whether the group has the house to themselves, whether everyone can meet at one table, whether equipment is waiting on site and whether after classes you can go to the sauna, go out to the garden or simply be in silence.
A good place shouldn't impose its own rhythm on the trip. It should provide the conditions for the group to create their own.
